CWTS is designed as a codex programme that develops texts from the Western Turkic Sphere as digital editions within a TEI-based editorial and technical framework. Building on the designated initial set, the programme offers a sustainable production pipeline through which the same editorial approach can be extended to new texts.

Within this framework, textual structure, reading decisions, variants, and editorial interventions are represented in a visible, traceable, and documentable form. This structure supports the updating, maintenance, and reuse of the editions, while also enabling parallel reading, comparative analysis, and the development of long-term research pathways across texts.
